| If you're
viewing this page then I'm going to make some assumptions about you. The
first one is that you want to learn how to make a home page. The second
is that you use Netscape as your internet browser or at least have it on
your machine. The third and final thing is that you don't want to have
to buy additional software to make your home page. |
 |
| You can
go anywhere on the net and find tutorials about how to write web pages.
Some of these are really good sites with a vast amount of information.
Most of them are how to actually write the html code itself. Knowing the
code, knowing what it means and what it does is extremely useful even if
you're going to use something like Composer to make your pages. No matter
what program you use to write your web pages, you will have to do more
research outside of these pages since these will only cover the basics
of getting you started with Composer. |
 |
| There
is no right way or wrong way to actually make your pages. I started making
my pages in Netscape Composer because it was handy and I didn't want to
buy another program. I hate to type and I'm a lousy speller so it was just
by natural progression that I fell in with this program and have stayed
with it. I've seen pages that display a little logo that says "Made with
NotePad - the Right way". Who cares! What do they mean by the "Right" way?
Just because they use NotePad doesn't mean it's the right way. It doesn't
matter how you "create" your pages, as long as you're comfortable with
what you're using. |
 |
| All point
and click programs used to make web pages have one flaw or another and
Composer is no exception. If you're looking for a program that doesn't
make mistakes then you should learn html coding and use a text editor.
Then, the only way the mistakes can happen is if you code the html wrong.
Now that we have all the hype out of the way, let's get started. |
